The description here on Amazon says its handle is made of bamboo wood and bristles are 100% boar bristles. But nowhere on the brush or the package it came in, this information is mentioned. So I'm a little disappointed.I've just started gettin into hair brushes like these so it's hard to tell if the bristles are really boar bristles or not. I've heard from people that brushes with 100% boar bristles are usually smelly and they resort to washing (or some sort of cleaning) the brush before first use. However, ths bristles on this one I received are not smelly. In fact they smell sort of 'factory-made' (but pleasant). Also boar bristles should apparently be hard / stiff but these are not. So I doubt if these are really what was advertised.The handle has a nice finish and is light weight. (reminds me of chopsticks). It does have a raised middle row. The bristles are neither too dense nor too scanty and it seems like a good brush for teasing and taming flyaways.Delivery was pretty fast but the brush and the package were dusty when I received it. So considering all the reasons I've mentioned, overall I rate this 3 stars.
